报告题目:Informatics in Cyber-Physical Systems: Enabling the Move from Internet of Things to Real-Time Control
报告人:Dr. Houbing Song (宋厚冰)
报告摘要:Just as the Internet transformed the way people interact with information, cyber-physical systems (CPS) are transforming the way people interact with engineered systems. CPS integrate sensing, computation, control and networking into physical objects and infrastructure, connecting them to the Internet and to each other. Internet of Things (IoT) is the networking infrastructure of cyber-physical systems. With IoT, physical components should be able to be seamlessly integrated into an Internet-like system so that the physical components can interact each other and to cyber-components in order to achieve mission-critical objectives.Informatics is a broad field that encompasses the collection, classification, storage, retrieval, analysis and dissemination of massive data sets. Informatics in CPS enables the move from IoT to real-time control.
In this talk, I will present my research findings in informatics in CPS. Firstly, I will present an attack-resistant trust management scheme (ART) for transportation CPS. For transportation, CPS provide the foundation necessary for a safe, efficient highway transportation system connecting vehicles, infrastructure, people, and goods in a vibrant, competitive economy. In the proposed ART scheme, the trustworthiness of the transportation CPS could be improved by addressing holistically both data trust and node trust. The ART theme is applicable to a wide range of VANET applications to improve traffic safety, mobility, and environmental protection with enhanced trustworthiness. Secondly,I will present a controlled data packet propagation algorithm called CODIE for Vehicular Named Data Networking (VNDN), i.e., the application of Named Data Networking (NDN) in vehicular communications and networking.NDNis a future Internet architecture which effectively brings Web-like semantics to the network layer, directly supporting dissemination of named, signed data. I will conclude this talk with my ongoing research projects in informatics in CPS.
